Sacred Spaces Within: An IFS-Informed Yoga and Meditation Retreat for Women
Step into a sanctuary of self-discovery and healing at Sacred Spaces Within, a transformative women’s retreat grounded in the principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS), yoga, and mindful meditation. Hosted in a serene and supportive environment, this retreat invites you to connect with your inner parts, awaken your Self-energy, and cultivate integrated healing through embodied practice.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed Practices
At the heart of this retreat lies practices informed by IFS, a therapeutic model that fosters deep self-awareness and healing by recognizing the many “parts” that make up your inner world. Through gentle guidance and IFS informed inquiry, you’ll learn to identify and connect with these parts—whether they are protective, wounded, or nurturing—and cultivate a compassionate relationship with each. By accessing your innate Self-energy, you’ll create harmony within, allowing space for profound transformation and inner peace.
Mindful Meditation
Mindful meditation practices will serve as an anchor throughout the retreat, helping you cultivate presence, clarity, and inner stillness. Through guided sessions, you’ll deepen your awareness of the present moment, explore the intricate relationship between breath and body, and learn tools to be with all parts of yourself with loving awareness.
Yoga Practices: Flow and Yin Yoga
Yoga will be a central part of your retreat experience, blending dynamic and restorative practices to nurture the body and mind.
· All Levels Flow Yoga: These active, flowing sessions are designed to energize and strengthen your body while fostering a sense of grounding and focus. You’ll move through sequences that synchronize breath and movement, promoting alignment, strength, flexibility, stability, and a clear mind. Flow yoga encourages you to embody your Self-energy and create a smoother connection between your physical and emotional self.
· Yin Yoga: In contrast, yin yoga invites you into stillness and deep relaxation. Through longer-held, passive postures, you’ll target connective tissues, release tension, and create space for introspection. This deeply meditative practice complements the inward journey of IFS, offering a sacred container for emotional release and healing.
Natural Hot Springs
In addition to these transformative practices, you’ll have the opportunity to soak in the healing waters of natural hot springs, allowing their warmth to soothe your body and mind. Surrounded by the ancient beauty of an old-growth forest, you’ll feel a deep connection to nature that fosters a sense of grounding and renewal.

Throughout the retreat, you’ll enjoy three nourishing, delicious vegetarian meals each day, carefully prepared to support your physical well-being and enhance your journey inward. Yin & Restorative Yoga Training
Join Anne Laderman, Ellie Lucas, and Holly Anderson for a deep dive into the healing practices of Yin and Restorative Yoga.
In this 40-hour Yoga Alliance Approved Continuing Education Course, you will learn:

How to provide supportive alignment enhancements
Yin and Restorative class sequencing
The art of relaxation and recovery and how to share these gifts with others

Who is this training for?
This training is open to anyone interested in deepening their practice and those looking to continue their education in these practices before or after a Yoga Teacher Training Program!
Yin & Restorative Yoga Training:

May 17th to 18th, 2025
The training will be 36 hours (9 hours per day) held over two weekends (Sat-Sun), and require a small amount of self-guided online training & homework (4 hours).
Meet Your Instructors:
Anne Laderman is an incredibly seasoned yoga teacher (E-RYT 500 ) and Thai Yoga Therapist with extensive experience in Gentle, Yin, and Restorative practices and a continuing education provider who has been an integral part of True Self’s Community and Teacher Trainings since the beginning!
Ellie Lucas is a mental health professional and experienced yoga teacher who graduated True Self’s 200-hr in 2019 and will graduate with her 500-hr in 2025. She is passionate about creating Trauma-Informed practices that support each individual’s unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Holly Anderson is also a seasoned yoga teacher who graduated True Self’s first 200-hr in 2017 and will graduate with her 500-hr in 2025. She has extensive training and experience in Yin and Restorative and is passionate about helping folks find supportive practices that allow them to feel the harmony between the Yin and Yang of life.

200 hr intensive yoga teacher training over 4 consecutive weeks.
Taught by Anne Laderman, Vajra Romano, Laura Deaton & Kehle Kaivalya, this intensive training draws on the over 50 years of their collective yoga experiences. The course will offer you a solid foundation in the art of teaching Yoga and a transformational experience fostering personal and professional growth. Overall, you will gain powerful insights to more deeply integrate with your True Self. Anatomy sessions taught by Kristi Lyons, distinguished yoga instructor with a medical background.
Comprehensive program for aspiring teachers experienced teachers or yoga students who want to deepen their practice.
Meets the 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered Program requirements to understanding yoga instruction including philosophy, meditation, asanas, anatomy and hands-on assists.
100% attendance to all components is required to register with the Yoga Alliance as a RYT-200.

Sculpt Light Workshop

Ayurvedapalooza
Join us for a weekend filled with the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda in Olympia, WA with Lorilee Gillmore and Anne Laderman.
Thai Yoga Workshop
Experience the feeling of both giving and receiving a complete 1 hour routine of Thai Yoga Therapy with Anne guiding and demonstrating.
This unique system of Yoga therapy combines rhythmic massage, acupressure, deep stretching, gentle twisting, energy work and meditation. Many people feel a powerful release of stress and tension, an increase in vital energy and well being. It deepens the connection between mind, body and spirit for both the giver and receiver.
Everyone will experience and receiving an entire basic session in a nurturing environment.
Participants will work comfortably clothed on mats. Bring a friend or come alone and make a new one.
No pre-requisites or prior experience of Yoga or Massage is not necessary.
